All of our electric accessible hook up pitches are on a Smartcard meter; you will be issued with a top up card at check in. You will need to pay for electric, as an additional cost, card payment only, this will then be credited to your top up card.
You can purchase electric when you check in.
Please note that you will be charged at the current rate.
Please note that the meters display how many KhW you have rather than a monetary amount.
- Flick the green trip switch on.
- Insert the card in to the slot that is highlighted in red.
- Take the card out.
- Put your hook up cable in.
- Rotate the grey isolater switch to the on position; this locks your hook up cable in place.
- Keep your card safe.
Top Ups: How to Top Up
- You can top up your card in denominations of £10.00.
- Tops ups are by card payment only.
- Tops ups can be made at the campsite reception/shop.
When Arriving at your Pitch: Adding your Credit to the Meter
- Flick the green switch up to turn the machine on.
- Insert the card, the machine will show the words success.
- Your credit will be shown on the machine in kHw.
- Remove the card, ensure that you keep it somewhere safe.
- Insert your hook up lead in the slot.
- Turn the grey isolator switch on.
When leaving: Departure and Refunding your Credit
- Place you finger on the red button and keep it pressed on the button.
- Insert the card, the machine will show the words B Good.
- Remove the card, keeping your finger on the red button.
- Take your finger off the red button.
- If this has been done correctly the screen will say no credit and the meter will beep.
- Please ensure that the screen says no credit, if it is says success then this means that the electric is still on the meter.
- Please ensure that you have correctly cleared the electric from the machine to your card before your leave the pitch.
- Take your card to the campsite reception/shop to claim your refund (this is refunded as a card payment only). Please ensure that you have a bank card with you to enable the refund to be processed (we do not store card details).
- Once you have left your pitch and posted or handed your barrier pass in at reception you have checked out and your meter will be cleared. This means that you cannot return to claim the credit.
If you Lose your Card
- Lost electric cards will be charged at £2.00 per card and will forfeit any refund due.
- Electric can only be placed back on to the original top up card. If you lose your original card you will not be able to get a refund on any remaining balance.
